PostSubject: first batch now at 5 months and just over 1 inch :)   Tue Aug 10, 2010 6:29 am

first batch of Bristlenose that bred are now at the 5 month stage and at last look alittle more than 1 inches....

have isolated 10 in to two separate tanks just to check growth rates (thats 5 Baby BN in two separate tanks)~

have noticed other sellers on ebay sell that 1 inch in size but wonder what mortality rate they have
when they sell them at that size?

I was going to wait till they were a little bit bigger....

see link in previous post for pictures and give me your thoughts please....

the male Dad can also be seen in the pictures too Smile

regards

LJ

I never sell at anything under 3cms and have never had one die when it got to its new home. That siad i do tell the new owners how to properly intorduce them into the tank. I know of people who sell at under 2cms and have very high mortality rates. I get a lot of people buying from me complaining that the last ones they bought were smaller and died in transit or as soon as they were in the tank.

PostSubject: thanks doug..   Thu Aug 12, 2010 10:42 pm

I was thinking of doing a little newletter or print out to give to the new pleco owner.

This printout or leaflet would explain how to care for the new fish, and also show a brief description
of the water parameters the fish were bred in. Do any of you guys have any thing like this yet.

Would be interested in seeing what they look like.

Was also looking at keeping a database record in openwriter of the water changes etc.

Regards and many thanks...

i do have something like this. I have my bristlenose article. I give people a copy if they buy over $15 worth of fish.

I find that people really appreciate it and i have a lot of people telling me how much it has helped them Very Happy
