I love corys

We had a breeding group of Peru Gold stripe F1's. Sold them just before Christmas a year ago. We have some of their offspring in the communal tank. We have a breeding group of Trilineatus and managed to keep 2 fry alive, but we just don't have the space to dedicate to breeding them, so we may sell them later this year. Gorgeous corys they are too Smile

Very envious! I'd love some Peru Golds at some point! Fry are always hard to keep, I've managed aeneus, panda, and sterbai so far, everyone else is a bit young to be breeding, but fingers crossed it will be soon!

I have one poor Tril at the moment, he has a little Julii friend though, they are loners together haha. They're sharing a tank with about 30 other corydoras though, so they aren't to lonely. They swim in with the CW37, so I think they are convinced they are all the same fish haha.

We got the perus by fluke, a local guy was giving up fish keeping as he was very ill and couldn't continue fishkeeping. Another guy was the first to ask for them, but he never arrived, so we snuck in and got them. Within days they had bred. The original group were spooked very easily, but their fry weren't. I have to say they were the hardiest cory fry I have ever come across. When we moved the tank from the lounge to the fish room (when we first built it) we emptied the tank of course, and then moved it with no water and just gravel. The occupiers of the tank were housed elsewhere and new sponge filters and fresh water straight from the tap was put in (3'x12"x12"). 3 days later we spotted a lone peru fry swimming around!!!
