The Clown Pleco comes from the rivers and tributaries of South America. It is a dark brown in color with yellow stripes.Clown Plecos make good additions to any community aquarium.
Planted aquariums with hearty, fast-growing plants, high aeration, and water movement provide for a healthy environment. Rocks and driftwood help to accent a natural habitat and provide hiding spaces to cut down on stress for the Clown Pleco.

A recommended minimum tank of 100 litres should be provided to house this fish.

The clown pleco does seem to be another who very much has a large part of its diet as wood.

one of my favourite additions to my TANK.

must say my clown pleoc used to be very shy and nocturnal but since I removed a plant or two he
now seems to be sharing the underneath of a ceramic plant pot with a L333 Smile
