The L236 princess is a dwarf pleco that reaches a maximum size of five inches in length. It is one of the many members of the Hypancistrus family. It is not particularly territorial so can be mixed with other bottom dwellers such as catfish or other plecs.
The L236 dwells on the bottom of the aquarium and appreciates plenty of driftwood in its environment for grazing, as well as a fine sand bed and slate or bamboo caves to shelter under
Feeding the Princess Pleco is not difficult due to the fact that it is not a picky eater. Feeding off the bottom of the tank, it gets most of its nutrition from left over food and algae. If there is no algae or left over food present, supplement with high quality flake food, sinking carnivore pellets, and freeze-dried bloodworms and brine shrimp.
