| Hey all, just thought i would post up some pics of my baby peps. There are from my trio but only one female laid eggs, I suspect the second female is still a bit young. The male was caved in a slate cave (5cm wide, 2.5cm tall and 15cm deep) in my 4ft display tank. There are a few other fish in there as well including some discus, a ram, a clown loach, 2 longfin albino junis, 2 marble longfin juvis, and a whole mess of male endlers. They spawned after being moved from a 2.5ft breeding tank where they had not bred at all back into the display tank. I suspect the change in tank more than anything else is what triggered the spawn. The temp in the tank is 28 degrees and the pH floats around 6.8. TDS, KH and GH are all low, cant be bothered measuring but the water comes from a 4 stage RO system so it is pretty clean and very soft. To proctect the eggs and the male from the clown loach the cave was moved into a fry saver. the eggs hatched in there and then a few days after the dad had released them from the cave the male and cave were removed and a fresh bit of cucumber was put in. I counted 53, this is the second time that this male has bred for me, aparently he bred a few times for his previous owner.
