| my current pair of short fin l144s are breeding in a jewel rio 180 tank temp 84 degrees i know this temp might sound high but they were only put in to try and trigger my l270s to breed they are very happy and live on a gravel substrate the tanks filteration is done by a fluval 205 external and a fluval u4 internal the tanks decor consists of 5 pieces of bogwood and 3 tube caves and 6 square caves i feed them on frozen bloodworm courgette brine shrimp flake and spirulina flake also jmc catfish pellets they are trigged into spawning by the usual cold water change method i hope this may help new breeders and sorry doug i didnt mean to hit and run with short posts as im very busy with other life and work commitments sorry never ment to offend anyone |
