| I inherited a 30G community tank last summer. There was one occupant that I saw only glimpses in the early morning or late at night after I came home from work. Determined to get a good look "him", I stayed up one night and kept the lights low. Out of the bottom of this 3 tier barnicle decoration popped a 4 inch, bright orange "thing" with tentacles all over it's head. My first reaction was "Yuck that's pretty ugly". But, as fate would have it, "Bob" grew on me  and I proceeded to visit several lfs in search of ABNS. This past March, I experienced the 1st spawning of 2 of my lfs finds (Bob sadly passed on in January). This was so cool because I bought them before I could ID male from female (about 2 inches), watched them mature, spawn, lay eggs, protect eggs and currently have 100+ fry. I feel like a very proud mom though in this case, I guess I should say grandmom. I'm so glad that I found your site and people like me who are crazy about BNs |
