my female is showing signs of being gavid and shes in and out of the males cave but in my tank i have a female albino and im not sure of if the brown bn female is trying to show her power but it looks like they are fighting over the male is this normal they seem to keep squaring up and keep using the side stabbers on each other can anyone please help many thanks

Hi,sometimes there will be a dominant female that will try to be the boss and will sometimes be the only one that gets to breed with the male.This doesn't always happen but i guess it depends on the fish and maybe other factors.All you can really do is remove one of them if they are fighting that badly before they damage each other.

How big is the tank?

You can get the odd aggressive female, I would keep an eye on them but sometimes these fights look worse than they actually are, if neither are showing any signs of damage such as ripped fins or wounds then it could be more posturing than fighting. If either is showing any damage then as Bristlnoses has said it would be wiser to seperate them.
