I have been asked to send some of my bns (they are over a year old now, so a fair size) to their new home, but have not a clue how to go about it.

Thank you. That was a good starting point.

It seems R Mail are only willing to transport eggs or fry, not adult fish, and the only courier that people regularly mention is APC, although their website states that they won't transport live animals.

So does everyone just try and get away with it and not say what's in their parcel? I'm a bit confused still, but have a much better idea of how to package them if and when the time comes.

If you use a cardboard box mate, make sure you line it with poly sheeting. This is to ensure that you have adequete insulation, and it adds extra strength to the box. Alternatively you can use a use a poly box, which if you have a local fruit and veg shop, you can obtain them for free from there, they use them to receive their broccoli and watercress in, and then they get put in the bin. Always worth a look.
If sending by Royal Mail, you must attach a couple of labels to the parcel indicating 'Live Fish Fry', I have sent fish 2" in length this way without any problems.
