Hi all, I am very new to the hobby and have a small 80 litre tank with just two little bristlnoses in. One is a male and one is a female they are just just over 5cm in size. One has bristles and the other not. I bought them some algae wafers and normal tetra flakes. Once a week I sprinkle the flakes in and each night at lights out they each get half an algae wafer. For one day they get zuchinni cause it spoils quick and then for two days they get sweet potato (that seems to be a favourite) I was wondering if that is enough food with variety or should they get more food.

Do they need live food like microworms or is what I am giving them enough? I would appreciate any help from you all.

I think what you are doing already is good enough..thats exactly what i feed mine minus the flakes..
Hikari Wafer's seem to be the best wafer's ive tried they love them...and courgette is also their favourite meal..

I think there is a post somewere on here that jakob posted and it shows you a nice list of diff veggies you could try..
But you cannot go wrong with Hikari Wafer's..

In the past few weeks we have been blanching carrots and feeding those to the BN's and they are loving it!!

I feed my BNs a slice of zuchinni once every week and algea wafers, but occayionally they are feed bloodworms.

Hi, I feed mine cucumber ,potatoes and lettuce. The young ones also like king british catfish pellets, they are just the right size for them to get their gobs around.
