| I think it is a young Ancistrus Hoplogenys... L059, it appears to have the rusty/reddish markings in the fins.

| If they are L059's it's a fantastic bargain come to think of it whatever they are it's a bargain. I'm moving this topic to the I.D Labratory in case you wonder were it's gone. |

| hi, i think its ancistrus sp. ucayali
i had some bought as L59 looked identical to that but they turned out to be sp. ucayali.
i see people allover selling sp ucayali as true L59 but i think in reality genuine L59 are very very hard to find. |

| Could well be, did you notice straight away or did the difference become more apparent as they developed. |

| i noticed when they arrived but hoped i was wrong but they get much bigger than true 59's and the red fades greatly as they grow. so grow them out and thats a sure fire way to tell what they are |

| Thank you Reading your discussion on them really helps me out am i right in thinking ancistrus sp. ucayali dont have an L number? So if i grow them out and the red fades they are ancistrus sp. ucayali and if it doesn't fade they are L059? |
