| Was leaving for a holiday, so thought I had take out all my adult bristlenoses from my community of discuses tank just in case they got hungry and started going after my discuses. I moved 5 adults into the ABN juv tank at around 4pm on Tues. At around 5.30pm, saw the male L144 and female ABN in a cave. That was pretty fast. These 2 were originally from 2 diff tanks. On Wed, saw a bunch of eggs, that was pretty fast also isnt it? Below is a pict of the 7day old fry. They look more black then yellow. |

| Oh...so I am going to get all commons. I hv stopped breeding ABNs n hv no intention to breed again. This is really accidental.
Hv a look at some of my discuses' video at youtube, all self-bred. http://www.youtube.com/user/discusy?blend=22&ob=5#p/u/10/qFM9L1S7YHM Will try to upload my other n latest discuses' picts later. |

| Congratulations to you!
By the way, I do not think that any of your BNs could go after your discus. Next time leave them together. |

| Bristlenose and discus can sometimes be a bad come especially if the discus are breeding. Breeding dicsus and bristlenose are a no no.
on the otherhand discus are generally too lazy and slow to go after bristlenose fry so the other wya around is generally ok _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!! | Oh, my 1st batch of BN eggs were all eaten up by my discuses. So BN breeding in a discus comm tank is no-no.
Hi mmccannon, I hv more than 10pcs of ABNs in each of my 4ft discus tank, between 2.5-4", so I moved some of the bigger ones out, left the smaller ones in the comm tank. I didnt take them all out. Bigger ones do go after my discuses esp when they are not going to be fed for a couple of days. |

| Dear Leopard,
Now I have learned something new, something I have never experienced when I had discs.
Anyway, for the sake of peace in the tank, it is better to feed your ABNs regularly. |
