| Hi everyone, I am a relatively noob. I had one aquarium for a couple of years before moving interstate 6 years ago and have finally bought a new one. I had bristlenose (2 female, 1 male) that used to breed, it seemed constantly. At one stage I remember removing 107 bristle nose from tiny fry to fully grown in one go. We hadn't intended to breed but it just came about! I have just purchased another aquarium (8 weeks ago) and currently have 2 teeny tiny peppermints, 2 Oto's, 8 cardinal, 5 khulis and 1 dwarf gourami. Obviously, I'm still stocking :bounce: I need at least another peppermint, and am hoping to get some reasonable endlers as well. Perhaps even expand the bristlenose to long fin and other varieties as the tank stabilises (am having a bacterial bloom currently which is frustrating). I'm secretly hoping the peppermints will start to breed as happily as my other bristlenose did! Looking forward to learning from you all! : |

| Hi and welcome to the forum. A great place for info, friendly banter and Curby's underpants.......?? (anyone else notice that these Aussies seem to be multiplying faster than an established trio of BNs... ) Roll on the next ashes series.... although we will probably be rubbish again by then and end up getting our butts kicked..!! | Hey thanks everyone, way to make a girl feel welcome @Jon, tis nearly cricket season here! It's always good to have some Pom's around to annoy. There does seem to be a high proportion of Adelaidians here, which is good. Once my cloudy water clears I shall be searching for more BNs and some endlers. Hopefully you guys will have some ideas of where to get 'em. Any other stocking ideas would be appreciated, I haven't had an aquarium this large before (4ft bow-front, approx 250 L) and like small even micro fish! Will go posting in other threads now. |
