| Hello all, I have been looking at an interesting bio filter.
It's called an Otto fluidized bed filter (link below) http://www.aquariumproducts.com.au/cart_view.php
Anyway because I haven't heard any reviews on fluidized bed filters I wanted to ask if anybody has experience with them. I understand that they are bio filters and was planning to have a canister for mechanical and bio filtration and due to the extreme bio load of my fry tank I wanted double the bio filters..
Thanks for reading |

| personally i prefer canisters. the only difference is that the canister has an inbuilt pump whereas the FBF need a pump. adding one onto an exsisting cansister system will cause the flow to drop too low. _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!! | Ah hey Doug,
Thanks for the input. That was the only thing I could fault with it. That and not having mechanical filtration. Anyway. I thought it could be a nice addition to a large aquarium as a seconday filter. With a canister.
Considering it's high beneficial bacteria capacity in ratio to size it could be a nice addition to a sump system to help keep parametors in check. |
