| Too early to tell but with 8 it shouldn't be that hard to get one or 2 pairs.
Noticed daddy ram fanning eggs last night. Good news is they are both looking after the eggs thismorning. Wonder if they will last longer than the last batch... |

| Found 2 dead fish in there thismorning 1 panda cory and the female apisto cac But while doing the water change i noticed this Seems the checkerboard cichlids were happy enough in there to breed Only the mum looks after the eggs, she chases everything that gets within 10cm radius of the eggs including the checkerboard male lol |

| This tank has finally begun its overhaul Most the fish including the discus are gone. All thats left is a few guppies and the ever elusive calico bn. Everything has been removed plants and all (except for the big driftwood log in the middle) and will be replaced with some lava rock. I have a hand full of val left that i will plant at the back of the tank (even tho it will probably get eaten) Now for the fun part, the stocking I have on order from Fish Bowl and Pond (where Doug works ) of 15 zebra cichlids. So yes it will now be converted into a malawi african cichlid tank. With the zebra cichlids i have on order 5 cobalt blue zebras, 5 red zebras and 5 albino zebras. I went for a zebra only tank as they are quite aggressive and figured a species only tank would be best. Doug has assured me i should have the fish in aboout 2 weeks which gives me plenty of time to get the tank parameters right for malawi cichlids At the moment the tank only has the driftwood log and rocks thrown in there with some guppies to keep the bacteria going in the filters. I will start posting pics up once i have it organized and looking the way i want it to so keep an eye here |

| heres an update pic stripped everything out, added the droftwood log, 12 pieces of volcano rock with one having a java fern tied to it. inhabitants consist of: about 10 guppies (mix m/f) 1 golden algae eater 1 albino rainbow shark 1 albino sf bn (named froggy coz hes got a stunted nose) and recently added 5 dragonblood peacock cichlids Now before anyone says these arent compatible i kinda know but i researched what kind of fish i can have in what kind of water and im confident i can keep the parameters right to make it work. |
