I too think it wrong to handle plecs like those people do. I try to avoid any stress to mine with very brief netting times. I would use my hand to gently catch them instead of the net but I'm always too afraid I might damage them or they might flick themselves away and fall onto something.
I have seen some pics where people handle a lot of the fresh wild caught by their head. This looks incredibly stessing to the fish. Does it hurt them though? Anyone know? Looks wrong to handle them like that. |
