| Hi all
I have a 3ft 150L setup bristlenose exclusive. I have had a proven 3.5" female in there who has bread for me before and an albino male 4" for well over three months. The male started caving from day 1 and has been caving ever since and seems to be fanning constently and the female has not shown any sign of interest towards him. So two days ago i decided to buy three more females which are all slightly smaller than my main female, to see if this would trigger anything and last night i thought it was all going to happen for me as she started to show interest and wouldnt stay away from his cave. This lasted for hours and in the end she was going in the cave with him for at least an hour at one time. The thing is she doesnt look bloated at all not like in the past when she has spawned and there are no signs of eggs?
Is this normal or could it be like a phantom birth, I have been waiting for her to spawn again for ages and it looked hopeful but nothing has happend for 24hrs but they are showing some signs.
Please could someone give me some advice as I am really confused.
Thanks |

| often the female will just check out the cave first. Sometimes she will stay in there for a while as its a good little space to hide but will not breed. Its quite common, I have watched similar events even between seasoned pairs. nothing out of the normal _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!!
