Are bn likely to get tb?

Just wondering if plecos and bns are likely to get tuberculosis?

I read somewhere that livebearers get it more commonly than other fish but I've never heard of a pleco or ancistrus getting it.

hrmmm, I have not heard of it but it is not out of the realm of possibility. Issue is that it is very hard to diagnose Sad

As Doug said fish TB is very hard to diagnose due to symptoms being like other possible diseases, cases could have been mis-diagnosed or put down to unexplained deaths.

Is your question born of the possible risk to people

Nah, just curious. I got guppies to put with my pepps and I got paranoid because there topics full of guppies getting tb and infecting everything,
euthanising all their fish with clove oil and then having to bleaching the tank out blah blah.

With guppies buying good stock, keeping then in the correct conditions and avoiding overcrowding should reduce health problems.
