| I received a male and female albino longfin bristlenose from grayham1970 exactly 3 weeks ago. They were easy to sex as the female was getting gravid and the male had started showing bristles. The male hadnt seemed too interested in caving but the past couple days he's been in and out of both caves which I didn't take much notice of. Last night I seen the female hanging around the cave but he wasn't really staying in it. Thismorning I seen him in the cave and she looked a little skinnier so I had a general idea that they had bred. But all day he's been in and out of his cave barely fanning the eggs. Even giving me a chance to shine the torch in the log to see a clutch of eggs I know it's both there first time but I'm a little worried he's not doing his fatherly duties. Fingers crossed the eggs hatch. Oh well they are only young and still have plenty of breeding left in em |

| Oh and I didn't do any water changes or anything to trigger them but it had been raining all day... |

| Yeah i think the pressure has something to do with it. Couldnt be just a strange coincidence that a few days ago my peps spawned on a rainy day. I mean it hasnt rained in a couple wks here and i only just rescaped the pep tank last wk end.... And also i prepared an egg tumbler because the male just wasnt stayin in his cave fanning. He kept coming out or sitting at the entrance so i moved the eggs into a tumbler. i know i should have left him to it and let nature take its course but i want baby alb lfs |

| Nice one Karl!!! It was the front that passed over yesterday. I had 4 pairs lay last night!!!!!! Good work on the egg move too, first time dads can be a bit iffy, and you did have that lame as male a while ago. I would have done the same Good luck with them mate and I'll trade ya some fry when they are big enough to spread the bloodline love _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!! | no probs here it is made it from this (my failed attempt at hatching brine shrimp back in the day) basically there are four small slits cut into the top for the air from the air stone to come out. the pressure from this sucks fresh water through the bottom and thus tumbling the eggs. continuous flow of fresh water over the eggs/wigglers same as daddy fanning with his fins the fresh flow of water keeps the fungus off the eggs all you have to remember by making your own is the bottom has to be capped so the eggs/wrigglers dont fall out but still allow water through and top has to allow air and water out but not wrigglers |

| Funnily enough, thats the same one I have as backup.
I didnt make any mods to it, as a result, i felt the bubbles are too strong.. it looks like you slipped a chuck (to diffuse the bubbles?) across the bottom end cap containing the airline and the main tube part. thats a very good idea, i didnt think of that.
my frysaver is simply a guppy breeder floating tank held in place by a couple suction caps near a spraybar of my eheim. The other one is an even better guppy breeder tank, brand "Toms Aquarium" which has its own tiny filter driving by air pump.

| Not sure on the cost as I bought the brine shrimp hatchery from LFS about 4 years ago |

| i just use a plastic bowl (glad sandwich bowl) with a few small holes drilled in the bottom. it floats and I place it over my sponge filter near the top of the tank. It works great for hatching my african cichlids so im sure it would be the same for the BN eggs |
