 | Subject: I'm in need of advice please? Thu May 12, 2011 5:54 pm | |
| About two months ago I lost my main breeding male, he was my first bristlenose and was getting on a bit. I put his unexpected death down to old age as he was an old boy. He was the main male in the tank not only the main breeder but he triggered my other bns to breed as well. Since his death I have had NO spawns or even spawning behaviour.
I have managed to find myself a 4" albino male around the same size as my brown male who died and I am collecting him next Wednesday. He will probably be the biggest bn in the tank like my last main male.
When I introduce him to the tank do you think he will replace my old male and start to spawn with my old main female and set everything off again?
Will it take a lot of time for him to even consider breeding?
I would really appreciate any advice as I want to get breeding again as soon as I can.
Thanks Dave |
