i found a clump of super red eggs on the gravel a few days ago and i usually throw them away anyway this time i tried to artifically hatch them in a jug and airstone method and what a nice suprise i got when they hatched in 3 days i thought about 50 atfirst but ater today moving them into a larger tub there is just over 100 wrigglers heres hoping they survive .

congrats mate. now grow em up nice n big so u can smuggle em over here to aus for us

thanks jim i know now ive threw six batchs of kicked out eggs wont be doing that in the future any suggestion on best first food for these thanks steve.

thanks jim il try them with some cucumber a maybe a wafer aswell in a couple of days time when egg sack dissapears thanks.

update young nearly lost all of their egg sacks a few grazing on a small slice of cucumber here,s hoping they continue to develop im changing the water in the hatching tank every morning and replacing with the tank water they came from so fingers crossed they continue to survive these are quite stressfull to grow on as this is the first time ive had to do this so its the blind leading the blind it feels like il keep you updated on their development.

yes it was an excellent feeling when they hatched as i usually just bin them as a bad loss but lets hope they survive and grow well as its the first time ive tried this so i will hatch them in the future if possible thanks doug and yes you cant go breaking the law shame i didnt live over aus with these then the world could be your oyster like you said lol

update i noticed a few dying of in the tub each day even though daily water changes done so today i decided to let them out in to the grow out tank heres hoping they do better in there has anyone any suggestions on why the didnt do well in the breeder box with a small filter in it.any help for future reference would be great thanks steve
