Ok every one, I have just recently got into cherry shrimp as an added food source for some of my meat eating cat fish.

As I wanna get a culture or breeding programme going for them what would you say were best ways of triggering male
and female to do the lovely act Smile

All replies will be considered...

kind regards

add water Very Happy

Seriously, thats it. there is no trigger as there is with fish. they just breed. They need a place to release their young. I use moss, Java or Christmas moss work well. just protect them from things that like to eat them.

This is my shrimp tank on my desk at uni. Its really cloudy because I just redid the aquascape and the substrate has a log of clay in it. it doesnt look it but there are easily over 100 shrimp in there. they are all hiding in the moss from the reshuffle

I have 4 types of shrimp in there all breeding happily. I sometimes have some bristlenose in there too if i want to keep someone seperate from the setup at home
