| is the tail forked or is it solid like a bristlenose.
If its forked then it looks mighty similar to my L333s.
they eyes look a bit cloudy though, or is that just the camera's doing? _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!! The tail is solid, but it does look very similar to an L333 I agree one of mine has very similar markings around the head.
As for the eyes they are OK I think it was because I was muffling the flash so it would not get to stressed. Have a head shot of it in my tank without any clouding in the eyes.

| L333 solid tails L66 forked tails L400 forked also but not like a v fork more of u shape
this has a solid fork so could be a l333 or L401, L401 most likely alot of people a selling them as L333 to get more money for them still imo a stunning fish |

He's about 3 inches long at the moment and clearly showing signs of being a male. He was described as Hypancistrus sp so I have an inkling he may be a hybrid. His markings are like those on my L333's but his tail is more like an L401. As you said there are people selling L401 as L333 so this could be his make up. At the end of the day I bought him for his looks and not for breeding so I'm happy with him |

| he is not a hybrid he is a L340 mega clown at 3" mark he is fully grown and stunning, also you cant go off markings with L333 as its by the shape of the fish each L333 has different markins i have a goup of 9 wild caught breeders ad there markings are all different,
google search L340 then i think this is what your fish is, also colours vary on L340 some are bright some aint you have a nice marked fish |
