| Cleaned out my canister filter for the pep tank and found a couple fry in there. For some reason they were slightly bigger than the ones in the tank. Any logical reason behind this? And what would it have been eating? :| |

| yeah it happens. they eat the slime that builds up in the filters. and they can be bigger simply because they have such good supply of food _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!! | Kinda makes me want to build a sump for the tank just to keep fry in. I just think it's strange they get bigger living off gunk rather than the fresh veg and numerous different algae wafers and catfish tabs I spoil em with... Then again they are bottom feeders... |

| its what they eat, in the wild they eat that slime and algae that builds up on the rocks and logs. so it stands to reason they will grow better on it. _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!! | it is strange though, they wouldn't have much room to grow in a filter would they?, yet they still grow bigger |
