You could still keep your fluval with a few precautions.

A similar post was made a few weeks ago HERE with a few good suggestions.

I have a Fluval 4+ in one of my tanks and have had BN's as small as 3cms in with no problems.

damn fine advice Big John.... and I mean big as in stature hehe...

any way John is fully correct the fluval question has been answered a multitude of time's quite often by myself as I always keep at least one variety of fluval in my
house tanks as they are so easy to maintain and operate.

I on the other hand use one sponge filter only, though two wouild be better, I cannot afford to run two sponge filters right now....

sounds ok to me, just maintain regular water changes and rinse the sponges out in old fish tank water occasionally and things should be ok.

regards

lj
