| I have a 50 litre tank that I am keeping my bristlie youngsters in but I have a snail problem.
I bought 2 small loaches and put them in there to cure the problem but they seem to be bullying the bristlies at feeding time so thinking of taking them out..
what can I do about the snails though??
Dont really like the idea of putting chemicals in there (hence the loaches) |

Snail's........... well loaches work some times, as do chemicals.....
I prefer to do it the old fashioned way.....
I like my apple snail's but any others I always remove by hand when doing my water change.
Yes it can be awkward and a tedious job, but slowly and eventually you should be able to get the top side of it....
You could save some water from your water changes and rinse through any plants / leaves, but this means removing the flora from the tank 
Then placing back in the substrate after you have rinsed them in the old water.

Ive done several searches but cant seem to find it anywhere... Do you know where I could get any or the same thing by a different name???
I have taken one of the loaches out so now there is only one in there. Im hoping this will calm him down a bit at feeding time... But I read somewhere that you shouldnt keep loaches with bristlies that might breed as they will eat their eggs... My babies are far from breeding lol but would be devastated if this happened in the future... |

| It can be a bit hard to find but keep at it. I got mine from a local fish shop.
