| so sorry about this
but you know the mesh you can get for gutters and sometimes used for fly screens??
just wrap that around the filter and place some rubber bands to keep it in place! |

| I always use tights around my filters when the fry are around.... I prefer fluval filters for ease of use, and always get the missus to donate some spare tights...lol... though think she might wonder where they are going lol.... until I showed her...lol.... a fly screen can be bought relatively cheap and used for many things for the tank... including a fry saver which allows water flow through it. also it can be wrapped around the filter, it can also be used to divide a tank in two good luck LJ |

| tights are good, the other thing to do is to get some filter material and put that over the intake. Adds an extra layer of filtration and protects the fry. _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!! | Hello I have to add my 2 bobs worth...I have use tights/pantyhose on a fry saver once cos the sponge was too coarse & was letting the tiny fry escape into the tank...they were black tights..& they leached dye throughout the tank... Be aware of coloured dyes... I now use a small sponges slipped over all my intakes... I have used all these and they all work great... the first is my preference.. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-Aquarium-Filter-Sponge-Cheery-Crystal-Shrimp-Fish-/220587623193?pt=AU_Pet_Supplies&hash=item335c0c0319
