They are the same species...?

Just another example of how the L number system fails. L104 and L162 are both the same fish.

I will check later when i get home but i am sure that the Clown Pleco has 2 'L' numbers and an 'LDA' number. I will check my Aqualog when i get home.

I own 3 and even though they are supposed to be strictly nocturnal i do seem them quite often, especially on courgette or algae wafers. Having said that they dont venture too far from the entrance of one of the many caves in the tank. They are in a community tank with all kinds of other fish so my hopes of breeding them probably wont come to much. They are very peaceful.

Regards,

Darren

PostSubject: thank you doug...   Tue Nov 02, 2010 3:15 pm

doug I never knew that...lol...

and neither did the lfs who i bought it off...

must say i may be a soft heart as the clown pleco was a return to the fish shop after the previous owners son throw a cricket ball at his dad's tank and broke the aquarium.

so the owner took all the surviving fish to the LFS before they died.

hence why I ended up with it ...lol Smile
