High guys , I finally got some decent pix of the pepps(sort of)
Could some one have a punt on sexing this fish- it is the biggest and nicest one I have and looks kinda
like a female but the bloody thing has male behaviour patterns eg. stalking all the best caves and
chasing other would be males

female 100%,i have notice with my colony that the big females won't have anything to do with smaller males and go into caves as well,mine only breed with bigger males

the white seem on the dorsal and tail- so they r the same as big fred Curby ( I think)

High guys , up for another for another round of sexing pepps?
I cleaned the tank and decided I'll heave the fish out and get some shots from above.
These guys/( and hopefully more)girls are getting close to 12 months old (and the ruler
will size them)
I'm hoping that there is 1m:5f, allthough two may go either way.
What do you guys say

They are great pics mate but it would be hard to sex without seeing a few side
shots of there snouts..try and take a few from the side on...i no it would be hard but it would give us a good idea...

still a bit young wait another 6 months,normally the plumper looking fish are females but peps can be hard to sex some times

Very nice i think there is 1 male and the rest are Female but need close up pics of them to be certain and like already said would be better in a few months time to have another look

As long as there is possible females and not all males thats a good enough starting point.

Ha HA some more pepp pix , sort of ok - I really like the way the biggest female always looks like she has
diamonds in her eye's for the fotos+ a smaller female in the foto - I think

This is probably the same fish , but another female I think


note the male on the filter sponge- definite male.
I don't think this is the same fish but he's a male.



So now the odds are 2Males:4Females.
