hi all i got a breeding pair of red cichlids with blue spots, not sure of the name in a 30"x12"x15" tank would a breeding pair of bristle nose plecos be ok to live with them
would be greatfull for any info,

Hrmmm, not sure to be honest. It depends on how big the chiclids will get, if they like the same water as bristlenose and how agressive they are. On a side note, if the chiclids get to be a decent size, like most do, then a 2 ft tank wont be big enough.

Finally, i tend to suggest not keeping chiclids with breeding pairs, with bristlenose its fine, but not breeding pairs as they chiclids will love to chow down on the baby fry when they come out.

Well in my experience, Any breeding fish, get narky when there are threats about....ie any other fish...Best keeping breeding pairs separated & in the appropriate sized tanks..

hi the cichlids are about 3" - 4" each there the only fish in the tank, il just chuck 1 pleco in to help keep tank clean,

Are these the fish http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/cichlid/jewel.php

If they are it should be OK so long as your BN's have plenty of hiding places, as Jewels can be aggressive when breeding.
You will have to remove the male BN and his cave when they breed as the fry would be food when they leave his care.

I have some bristlenoses in with pairs of red jewel cichlids and as has been said, the fry make tasty treats. They will pick on anything in the tank with them when they are breeding.
