| Hrmmm, not sure to be honest. It depends on how big the chiclids will get, if they like the same water as bristlenose and how agressive they are. On a side note, if the chiclids get to be a decent size, like most do, then a 2 ft tank wont be big enough.
Finally, i tend to suggest not keeping chiclids with breeding pairs, with bristlenose its fine, but not breeding pairs as they chiclids will love to chow down on the baby fry when they come out. _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!! | Hi Fish Nut
Are these the fish http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/cichlid/jewel.php
If they are it should be OK so long as your BN's have plenty of hiding places, as Jewels can be aggressive when breeding. You will have to remove the male BN and his cave when they breed as the fry would be food when they leave his care. |

| I have some bristlenoses in with pairs of red jewel cichlids and as has been said, the fry make tasty treats. They will pick on anything in the tank with them when they are breeding. |
