| I have all kinds of fish with my bristlenoses. Platties, Mollies, various Tetras, Corrys, Rams, Clown Plecs, Clown loaches and all seem to get on fine. My Male (adult) does very little during the day unless he is exceptionally hungry and the smaller female i have is seen about during the day sometimes, they are both much more active at night. As long as your BN's have caves or logs to hide in they will be fine. |

| Pladys are fine in my experence. i used to have a heap of them in my first 3ft tank where i first got into breeding BN. they do have a nibble at the few babies that sneak past dad a day or two early and havent quite developed yet but if you have a good breeding pair then i wouldnt worry too much about it.
other fish are a no go in a breeding tank. anything that is big enough to eat the fry is obviosuly going to cause problems. and one that a lot of people miss is loaches. they are a big no no as they are designed to eat things in shells like snails and eggs. Not to mention the will do an nasty job on the male when they fight in the cave, anyone who has been hit with the clown loaches eye spine will know what i mean. _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!!
