I tried some zucchini out on my bristle nose, who is imaginatively named Spike, after reading that they are normally fond of certain veggies. Fond was an understatement, he was very impressed and over the course of the evening ate a piece that was about 3cm in diameter, and 1/2 cm wide. 2 days later when i put another piece in, the same thing happened. Spike is about 7cm long.

My question is, will he gorge himself to death like this or is it ok that he is eating this much? On non-veggie days he gets an algae wafer...

Advice would be appreciated!!

But in all seriousness, no, he wont. They can eat a lot of vegies as they are very low nutrient content. Eating that whole bit of vege would prob have less nutrition in it that a single aglae wafer, but in the long run is much better for them as it is closer to their original diet of algae.

keep the veges too him and he will be happy and healthy and he will stop when he is full
