A while ago I bought 3 albino long fin bristlenose plecos. I had a 10 gal set up for them and they have been in there till now. I have a 46 gal that houses a normal bristlnose whom has been in this tank for a long time.

I am wondering if keeping them in the 10 gal by themselves is a good thing??

I did place them today in my 46 gal so they can have more room to roam around etc.

Do you think that I should keep them in a tank to themselves or leave them in the 46 gal ??

Honestly I would give them the added room, But be aware, they are bn's & if you have males and females, they will try to breed ...You may be over run before you know it..

They will need to stay in the larger one regardless. 10G is too small for 3 mature bristlenose. My breeding tubs are 55ltrs and thats as small as i would suggest for any bristlenose tank.

In the larger tank you will have to watch out for breeding and fighting depending on the ratio of males to females. tho i would think that with 4 fish in a tank that size you will be fine in terms of fighting, so just watch out for signs of breeding
