PostSubject: A lack of glassworms. Any other Apisto nuts know what else to feed ?   Mon Jul 12, 2010 7:11 pm

Hi all bit of a blow this evening - called into my LFS to pick up my monthly glassworm culture and due to the weather (they get them from a Dutch supplier) there's no glassworms.

I'm feeding a mix of frozen bloodworm / brine shrimp but I'm a little concerned about feeding bloodworm as its not ideal for them - plus they're used to glassworm which is the ideal food for Apistos. Ironcially I'm growing my own Ancistrus food (courgettes) but I can't find much info on how to grow your own glassworms - or any suppliers. I've been told they won't have more until September (!). Does anyone have any links to information about glassworm - or a supplier ? I'm happy to pay to have some posted down here to Cornwall my main concern being how they'd last in the hot weather.
