| For all of my fish I regularly mix in some Garlic Guard with their food. They are like frenzied sharks while eating.
Anyone else use it? |

| yep, that pretty much it. tho i rubbed it on and left it for about an hour so that the garlic goodness could soak into the cucumber. i did basically put a pile of it on top of the slice when i put it in the tank it all went everywhere but not to worry as the fish quickly found it and ate it, then set to work on the garlic cucumber _________________ Doug's Bristlenose eBook - The number one source of Bristlenose information and the most detailed breeding guide avaliable 3rd edition OUT NOW!!! | Has anyone any ideas to feed fresh garlic?
I have a few fresh cloves left over from a recent meal I cooked.
I might try just breaking in half etc and seeing? Does anyone know? |

| Here's a tip about garlic, Once you crush it a chemical reaction happens. When garlic is crushed or otherwise damaged, the alliin reacts with the enzyme allinase, also found naturally in garlic. Allinase acts as a catalyst and results in the transformation of alliin into allicin, this is when the pungent smell is constructed. The tip is it takes 10 minutes for the reaction to happen...so after crushing wait 10 mins and it will be even more attractive to your fish.. Mine all love it... |

Mooo, is that just the garlic you feed? or is it a smear method?
Does it float or do you sink it?
Thanks in advance. |

| This is interesting. My fish all love many different veggies but I will put some garlic on for a treat now. I wonder what other fish will think of it. I don't often put leafy veg in the big tank because it is shredded in minutes by the live-bearers. |
