ahhh, good work. Sounds like we may have another budding aquatic ecologist cheers

I had a tank full of little critters i found in the local stream when i was younger Smile. used to keep them for a few days, try and figure out what they were then toss em back.

hope so, she's always creature hunting in general! I used to collect buckets of snails and caterpillars when I was little. We have a pot of painted lady caterpillars on the table at the moment, and a net of ladybirds that we hatched from larvae in the living room. Ladybirds due for release soon, caterpillars about 4 weeks to go.

Not so good at identifying the things we get in streams - bloodworms, daphnia, shrimps, and crayfish I'm ok with, but the others are "oh, another one of those wriggly things/underwater caterpillar-like things", so maybe the list will help us work out what they really are!
