PostSubject: peppermint pleco   Sun Nov 21, 2010 12:52 pm

male peppermint pleco's can be aggressive at times. It is a shame really as they can be lovely creatures when passive.

though I have found they can get very territorial as they get bigger and more mature.

I have been quite lucky with my 4 males, as yet they have yet to show any signs of severe aggression apart from a little flaring at each other over food.

sorry to hear of your loss, hope you find a male soon.

sometimes males or fish just prefer the solitude of a female or two or a tank of there own, you may need to keep a closer eye on that male as
it develops Sad

kind regards

Lj
