the albino bristlenose is a white fish with pink eyes were as the l144 are usually yellow with a blue/black coloured eyes and like you said the l144 is a solid coloured fish were as the albino can have a blotchy appearence but is totaly white or can be pale pinkish depending on were you source your fish from hope this helps you.

Albinos in any form always have red eyes.If it hasn't got red eyes it isn't albino Smile

The fish sold as L144 are not usually the fish originally described and are only a colour morph.

There is a profile of the L144 on This German site showing a fish that is more like the original description.
