| I use to have a species tank with Yellow labs in (managed to breed them too!). So I use to go on a lot of chiclid forums to get more info on them and on every site there was always mention that the Bristlenose pleco is about the only pleco that would be safe in a tank of chiclids since most plecs just stay static on the tank glass and the chicilds would peck there eyes out But with the Bristlenose having the bristles the chiclids are a curious species and so don't bother them! That's what I gathered from the chiclid forums anyway |

| High Guys , I tried the malawi and plecs combo for about 6 months and then gave it away as the cichlids are straight out mean little snots. The L001 was was receiving fin damage on a daily basis , the B/N were fine but weren't breeding at the time, and just the comotion between the cichlids themselves doesn't create a nice atmosphere. People also state the water parameters for cichlids versus plecs is also different( south africa versus south america) so to get the best out out of your cihlids u need water different to what a plec prefers. They will live in the same water so it is not impossible. Cheers J |
